Disaster Relief Application
before going forward, here are some things to consider:
There is no guarantee if or when we will deploy. Since we partner with orgs on the ground, we must wait until they tell us how we are needed.
You will need a high degree of independence and flexibility. Things won’t always go as planned, and you should be ready to improvise and change your expectations.
You will probably be uncomfortable (tired, sweaty, dirty, too hot/too cold, etc).
It’s not always exciting. We help however we can, and sometimes that involves just cleaning cages or administering meds in a shelter.
You might see animals in rough shape and/or tough conditions.
Keeping a positive attitude is essential!
