We improve animal welfare worldwide by connecting volunteer veterinary support staff to animal rescue organizations that need their help.
Now more than ever there is a need for qualified veterinary professionals among animal rescue groups. Many of the organizations we serve do not have the resources to employ a full veterinary staff and must rely on volunteer support to continue their essential work. Our nurses provide help in animal sanctuaries, spay/neuter, wildlife rescue, disaster relief, and more.
Many technicians have the passion to volunteer but don't know where to start, and it was out of this desire that Vet Techs Without Borders was born. We form partnerships with animal welfare groups and facilitate connections with our volunteers. We believe that volunteering benefits both the client and the volunteer. Service feeds the soul and travel expands the horizons.
Whether you are a volunteer or a supporter, you are a vital part of our growing community, a global community of volunteers and animal lovers who can share experiences and support each other as we work to improve the lives of animals and the people who care for them.
Thad shares Abbie's love of travel and volunteering, utilizing his skills in animal transport and restraint, cage building, heavy lifting, and client outreach. He is also invaluable as VTWB tech support.
When not volunteering, Thad enjoys games, the outdoors, and solving complex design challenges as an information architect.
